Data Handling

MolDraw runs primarily in your browser. Molecular data you draw is processed client-side unless you use optional external services.

Analytics and support tools may collect basic technical data such as browser/device information to improve reliability and user support.

Accounts and Community Data

If you create an account, MolDraw may store your email address, profile name, designation, avatar choice, admin status, role, karma score, and timestamps needed to operate account-based features.

Community posts, comments, feature requests, upvotes, reports, public profile details, uploaded images, and moderation status labels may be stored and displayed publicly depending on the feature. Do not post private, confidential, medical, or sensitive personal information in public community areas.

Image Uploads and Supabase Storage

Images uploaded to feature requests, posts, or replies may be stored using Supabase storage and may be served from public storage URLs so they can be displayed in the community.

Reports and moderation records may be stored to help admins review abuse, spam, unsafe chemistry content, illegal activity, privacy issues, and other violations of the Community Guidelines.

External Services

• PubChem lookups for compound search.
• Optional AI integrations when enabled by the user.
• Supabase for authentication, profiles, community records, feature requests, reports, and image storage.
• Analytics services such as Piqo and PostHog when enabled for usage, reliability, and product improvement.
• Support tools such as Charla when enabled for user support.
• Hosting and analytics services for performance monitoring.

Moderation and Safety

Admins may review community content and reports, moderate unsafe or prohibited content, and retain limited records needed to enforce the Terms, prevent abuse, and protect users.
